| Titania is a major character in the Nintendo strategy game Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance. Her primary role in the game is as a mentor to the lead character, Ike. Most of her past is veiled in mystery, but what is known is that she had once been a member of the Crimean knighthood, but eventually left to join the mercenary group founded by Ike's father. When Ike takes command of the mercenaries, she remains with him as his trusted lieutenant. In terms of gameplay, Titania is a member of the Paladin class; mounted units with the ability to wield more than one kind of weapon, and that traditionally have statistics that make them one of the best unit types in the Fire Emblem series. She is also the first female character of the Jeigan character archetype (not counting Eyvel from Fire Emblem: Thracia 776). The Jeigan archetype is a character that the player receives early in the game with statistics that allow him/her to easily stand up to the enemies of the early levels, creating a viable frontline offense to protect weaker characters, and also serves as a mentor to the protagonist. However, unlike most Jeigan characters, Titania does not become "rendered useless" as the other characters grow in level, and remains a viably useful character through the end of the game. In the Japanese version of Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance (known as Fire Emblem: Sōen no Kiseki in Japan), Titania is named Tiamat.
