The s in the fictional universe ofWarhammer Fantasy are a race very concerned with honor. A dwarf that is disgraced or fails to carry out an oath may sometimes become a Slayer. Dwarf slayers are known for their bright orange mohawks, which is a custom adopted due to the fact that the first Slayer allowed an orange haired prince he was guarding to be killed by a troll. Slayers try to fight monstrous beasts to seek an honorable death in battle. They usually start fighting trolls and if are lucky (though slayers see this as unlucky) they may survive to fight Giants, Dragons and even Daemons.

Groups of slayers often band together in times of war and are occassionally seen on battlefields beside their brethren.

The hold of Karak Kadrin has the Shrine of Grimnir which is often visited and prayed at by slayers. The king of this hold is always called a Slayer King, taking both the oath to rule his people and seek an honorable death in battle.

Famous Slayers include Gotrek Grunnison and Garagrim Ironfist. The current Slayer King is Ungrim Ironfist, the father of Garagrim.
