| Alexei Stukov (also known as Alexi Stukov) is a fictional character in the StarCraft universe. He is the Vice Admiral of the United Earth Directorate's Expeditionary Force. In Brood War Stukov is voiced by Castulo Guerra, an actor from Argentina. IntroductionHis primary role involved research, especially into technology and physical theory, and more recently into the Zerg and Protoss. While a brilliant tactician, he did not contest Admiral DuGalle's leadership of the United Earth Directorate expeditionary force to the Koprulu Sector.Stukov is 52 years old, and is a childhood friend of Gerard DuGalle, who is 64. Stukov is represented in the game by the Terran Ghost unit and may indeed have been psychic. This ability may have enabled him to resist the influence of Samir Duran - assuming Duran was using psionics to manipulate people, however this would contradict the starcraft manual stating how the UED believes in the purity of the human genome and would never allow telepaths in the directorate. Stukov is described as having a black Greatcoat and a white Admiral's Cap. He carries a silenced nickel-plated Luger, and his standard-issue C10 Canister Rifle. War ActionWe first see him trying to blockade the small, icy world Braxis in Episode IV when the Protoss visited, for reasons unknown to him. Stukov used a large number of Missile Turrets powered by fusion reactors and defended by a number of United Earth Directorate troops. The Protoss fleet could not leave the world as long as the Missile Turrets could shoot down their vessels. The Protoss were able to penetrate the blockade by destroying the fusion reactors, and eventually Stukov had to give up the chase. In Episode V, Stukov made contact with Samir Duran, who was on the surface of Braxis. Duran offered an alliance with the UED in return for assisting the UED invasion of Braxis. Stukov was initially suspicious of Duran's motives, but became more accepting of him when Duran was able to warn Stukov and Admiral DuGalle of an impending Terran Dominion counterattack at Dylar IV. When the UED fleet travelled to Tarsonis to search for the Psi Disruptor, they were successful. Stukov wanted to use the Disruptor as an anti-Zerg weapon, but Duran convinced Admiral DuGalle that it was too dangerous to leave it in one piece. As a result, DuGalle ordered Duran to destroy the Psi Disruptor on Tarsonis but Stukov's Ghosts told Duran they would take care of this themselves. Stukov disassembled it and transported it to Braxis in order to hide this from Duran; However, he never told DuGalle about this. When the UED force pursued James Raynor and Arcturus Mengsk to Aiur, DuGalle split his forces into three or four sections. One directly attacked Raynor and Mengsk, while Stukov and Duran's forces were tasked with preventing more Zerg from entering the combat arena.
