Viki (ビーキー) is a recurring character in the Suikoden video game series. She has appeared in almost all of the main games in the Suikoden series and is (as of now) permanently the main magician to go to for teleportation.

Weapon

Viki's weapon has remained unchanged over the past few games. However, it is to note that she was not a battle character in Suikoden I. She only starts as a playable character in Suikoden II and has been ever since.

Her only weapon in the game is a wand. However, it is not the usual wand you see in magician films. Instead it is more like a thinner version of a long mace. Embedded within the head of the wand is a small blue crystal believed by some as a rune.

Abilities

Within the game, Viki has the rare ability of teleportation. Though anyone may be able to use it with the use of the Blinking Rune, she has managed to master it (Though there are great chances that she fails). She is relevant to the game for the ability to bring you to places you've already been to. She also gives you a Blinking Mirror which you can use to get back to her. Suikoden 3 notes that her teleportation magic is inborn, which is extremely rare in the Suikoden universe.

She is the only magician within the game who has a chance of "failing" in the incantation of the spell. Such examples would be targetting your own party members instead of your enemy. This most likely happens during the use of her Blinking Rune. This is said to happen most of the time in her lower levels. Strangely, even the most ungifted characters who use runes never actually fail.

In later games (Suikoden III and on), Viki no longer has a chance of failing her spells, and is actually one of the more powerful magicians available because of her affinity for certain Runes, such as Pale Gate.

Mystery

Viki is one of the more mysterious characters of Suikoden along with Jeane & Yuber. She has appeared in all Suikoden games except for Suikoden Tactics.

No one really knows where she has come from. A small glimpse of her world was featured in Genso Suikogaiden Vol. 2 where we see everything in a topsy turvey manner. Apparently a world with no physics at all. No wonder she's always confused in our world. However, nothing else is specified of where she lives or how she got here.

Viki Is also known to suddenly teleport things whenever she sneezes. Her sneezes are what caused her to keep moving from game to game. It's is still unknown to us whether she's teleporting from game to game in order of their release dates. (i.e. Suikoden III to Suikoden IV ) However, it is hinted that this is a fact when she apparently is familiar with Jeane.
