Introduction

On every telecast, after a few seconds of opening celebrations and hype made by the studio audience and the show's DJ, the show opens up by announcer Cheena introducing host Willie Revillame (referred as "Wowowillie".) By then, the host and everyone in the studio sings along to the show's theme song.

Theme Song Lyrics
Sa Luzon, sa Visayas at sa Mindanao
Saan mang sulok ng mundo
makakasama n'yo
Magbibigay saya sa bawat isa
At maghahatid ng kakaibang ligaya

Kadugo, kababayan at kapamilya
Sa bawat sulok ng mundo
Na may Pilipino
Ito'y para sa inyo,
Kinabukasan n'yo
Ang ibibigay naming papremyo

(shouts) Wowowee!!!

Wowowee, sinong di mawiwili
Dahil sa game na 'to ay di ka magsisisi
Wowowee, panalo ang marami
Pagkat walang talo sa Wowowee!

(shouts) Wowowee!!!

Sa loob at labas ng ating bansa
Saan ka man nagmumula
May pera o wala
Kasama ko kayo at pwdeng manalo
Ganyan kung magmahal ang kapamilya mo

(shouts) Wowowee!!!

WOWOWEE! WOWOWEE! WOWOWEE!

Afterwards, Willie greets hello and makes some opening remarks.

Interaction with the Audience Members

In this first segment, Willie (and sometimes his co-hosts, the announcer or one of the visible stage managers) goes to each section of the studio audience, says hello, allows some audience members to greet their family and friends watching (mainly the overseas TFC subscribers who came to see the show) and selects ten players interested in winning prizes in the "Bigat 10" segment.

It is also in this part of the show where overseas TFC subscribers donate money to Willie, where it's used to give to charities benefiting the poor and to give away as extra-incentive prizes to a deserving "Willie of Fortune" or "Pera o Bayong" player.

(The background music consists of dance remixes to "Bow Wow Wow", "Tango Boogie Cha-Cha", "Wankata" and "Puppy Mo Ako". The regular versions of those songs are featured in Willie Revillame's 2005 music CD entitled Wowowillie, published by Star Records.)

Willie of Fortune

Before the Game
Announcer Cheena introduces the two groups of three contestants that will be playing against each other. All players were selected in a contestant search session held at the ABS-CBN Broadcast Center the previous day. Then the first person in each group goes to the podium and prepares for "Willie of Fortune".

Before each game, Willie conducts a quick candid interview with each contestant. Later, he allows him or her to show talent. In the past, contestants often danced, sang, recited poems or told jokes.

At the end, the contestant receives PHP1,000 in cash for their appearance. On some occasions, they are given extra gifts, like money donated from the TFC subscribers (over time, it ranged from $5 to $20) or music CD's (most notably the Wowowillie CD.)
The Gameplay
Like the U.S. game show Name That Tune
, the object of this game is to buzz-in and correctly identify a song that the show's keyboardist is playing. The first person to do so wins one point. Otherwise, an opponent has a chance to steal by correctly identifying that same song.
