Games - Xenosaga Episode III: Also sprach Zarathustra

Xenosaga Episode III: Also sprach Zarathustra (Episode III) will be the third and (as of now) final game in the primary Xenosaga series. It will be released on PlayStation 2
and the Japanese release date is July 6, 2006. In Japan all people who preorder the game, will get a special DVD with the name "Xenosaga Alle spezielle DVD". "Alle spezielle" is a German phrase and means "all special" in English. Also sprach Zarathustra (ゼノサーガ エピソードIII ツァラトゥストラはかく語りき), literally "Thus Spoke Zarathustra", is also the title to Nietzsche's most famous work, which introduced the Übermensch and popularised the phrase "God is dead".

Game notes

In September 2005, it was officially announced that Episode III would mark the premature end to the series, which was originally planned to span six titles. The cast from Episode I and II will return, but their roles have not been specified; a voice actor has been hired and confirmed for the part of Voyager. Allen Ridgely
and Canaan will also be playable characters for the first time in the series. The story encyclopedia, which was absent from Episode II, will return in Episode III.

Episode III will take place one year after Episode II, with E.S. units from Episode II and the Zohar Emulators and "techs" from Episode I making a return. A dialogue knowledge tree will be included, allowing the player to speak to non-playable characters. A new addition to the cast will be T-elos, which was featured in Episode I's U-TIC battleship as a blueprint. T-elos is similar to KOS-MOS
in appearance. As the recent game trailers indicates, the androids will develop some kind of relationship.

In Xenosaga Episode III two versions of KOS-MOS will make an appearance. At first the black Version 3 of her will make an appearance and later in the game the Version 4 of KOS-MOS.

Story notes

Shion Uzuki has resigned her job with Vector Industries when she discovers the connection between Vector and the Gnosis outbreak. She is now working with the underground organization Scientia, a rebel group based on Michtam whose purpose is to expose the secrets of the supercorporation. While working with Scientia, Shion discovers that the KOS-MOS
project has been cancelled in favor of T-elos, a battle android similar to KOS-MOS. Shion and her friends are reunited one last time in Episode III in order to discover the secrets behind the series' plot.

Music notes

At the start of Episode III's development, Yuki Kajiura became the sole composer for the Xenosaga series. Episode III will be her first solo composition project since the .hack anime. Other information, such as singers and musical styles, has not been announced.
