Yuber is a recurring character in Suikoden. Yuber is a mysterious Black Knight who bears the Eightfold Rune and is being chased after by Pesmerga for undisclosed reasons.

In Suikoden, Yuber fights on the side of the Scarlet Moon Empire, having been summoned by Windy. During that war, Leon Silverberg takes note of Yuber's prowess and learns to summon him himself, which he does in the Dunan Unification War (Suikoden II). In that war, Yuber fights for the Highland Kingdom, but deserts when it becomes clear that Highland will lose. Between Suikoden II and Suikoden III, Leon writes a book that is later read by his grandson, Albert Silverberg. It is still considered a family secret as the book would only be available to Silverberg family members. Albert summons Yuber in Suikoden III to help Luc in his quest.

Yuber has stated that he does not feel any affection for his employers; rather, he works with them only to cause chaos.

Weapon

Yuber wields a single long sword in his first two appearances in the Suikoden Universe which are only seen in character art. Due to an appearance change in Suikoden 3, Yuber weilds a pair of thin long swords. Surprisingly, Yuber's swords' names are the same as the name of Pesmerga's weapon.

Powers

Yuber is one of the most mysterious characters in Suikoden. He is not human, and, although it is not stated in any of the games that he is the bearer of a True Rune, Konami confirmed that he is the bearer of the Eightfold Rune (fan translation). He also has great power, that of summoning powerful monsters such as the Bone Dragon in Greenhill.
