Yuga (壊帝ユガ) is a character in the Samurai Shodown series, and is the main antagonist of the Samurai Shodown 64 iteration.

History

Samurai Shodown 64

Yuga's existence is veiled in mystery. She is a powerful sorceress who charades as a kindly puppeteer. She wishes to become a goddess of destruction and rule the world. Knowing she would require many followers, she was patient, and concocted an elaborate plan.

20 years ago, she stole the various babies from mother's wombs and using her power, bestowed superhuman abilities upon them. She then silently re-inserted the unborn children, and waited. Over the years, these children exhibited powerful abilities and above-average aspects. Knowing this the time to strike, she appeared before all of them, performing a mysterious and magical puppet show, warping their minds and resulting in brainwashing. They then obediently followed her orders.

Along with these braindead individuals, Yuga obtained the hermaphroditic "Shiki," Yuga now seeks her male counterpart "Haohmaru" to realize her ambitions.

However, as she attempted to place her plans into motion, she was engaged by Haohmaru and Shiki, who destroyed her.

However, Yuga (apparently) anticipated her defeat. She subsequently ressurected hereself, and began to continue her plans, making a clone of Asura in the process. She then sent this doppleganger to retrieve Shiki, but he developed feelings for her instead. Taking this into account, the two Asuras both engaged Yuga, destroying her for good.

Trivia

Yuga is the "mysterious puppeteer".
Yuga is indeed female. She can't maintain her body outside of Makai so she created a temporary body to use in the human world. This is why she has the physical figure of a male.
There is a very high chance that she is Ambrosia. The big eye symbol in Mizuki's background is very similar to the symbol that Yuga uses.
