Yuktobania is a fictional country that was created in the PlayStation 2 video game Ace Combat 5.

Location

Yuktobania is not located on the same continent as Belka or Osea. It is on the other side of the Ceres Ocean which divides the two main continents. Before the 2010 Circum-Pacific War (otherwise known as the Osean-Yuktobonian conflict) Yuktobania is roughly estimated as being 9,900,000 km² (around the size of Canada) A rather important part of the country has been occupied by the Osean forces during the conflict, but they are assumed to have been given back after the war. Yuktobania is surrounded by Verusa, Sotoa, Anea, and Clavis.

Yuktobania is a huge country whose sphere of influence is spread all over the world as one of the world's superpower. It has been placed on a continent opposite from Osea to show geographically the Eastern-Western split of the world. (As it was in the Cold war in real life.)

Culture

Yuktobania is assumed to have a Slavonic culture. The architecture of Yuktobania is very industrialised. The name Yuktobania should come from Yugoslavia. Bania is a unbased name that should refer to the people of the country, and Yukto a geographical suffix. (Yugo-south , Slavia-designs the people of the region ). The names of Yuktobanian regions and towns has not only a Russian style, but also those from all of eastern Europe, such as Dresdene, Dama lake ,Ochabursk, etc. The three most prominent cultures Yuktobania is remniscient of are : Russian, Czech, and Serbo-Croatian. But Russian culture is the most dominant, the Yuktobanians have mostly Russian names, for example: Zubov, Nikanor, Oka Nieba, Grom, Pitomnik, Alyosha, etc.

The Yuktobanians are also highly patriotic to their country, to the point of willing to sacrifice their lives committing immoral acts for Yuktobania in reprisal to attacks of the Oseans.

Climate

Judging by the locations one can see, it has a very bizarre climate. In the center of the continent (at a lattitude where there is a rather continental temparate climate) Yuktobania has a huge desert called the Jilachi Desert. The very north of the country has an Arctic climate, while on the south there are tropical regions covered by jungle. Otherwise, Yuktobania is covered by a mountainous terrain.
