1 Night in Paris (2004) is an unauthorized sex video of Paris Hilton with her then-boyfriend Rick Salomon, who leaked it onto the Internet. It was released shortly before The Simple Life debuted, hence causing a sensation. Hilton sued Salomon for releasing the tape. In July, the suit was settled, with Hilton receiving $400,000 and a percentage of the profits. All profits she received from the video were donated to charity. The original video, and a rip of the DVD, are still circulating on the Internet. The video received the AVN Awards in 2005 for "Best Selling Title of the Year," "Best Renting Title of the Year" and "Best Overall Marketing Campaign – Individual Project."

1 Night in Paris is distributed by Red Light District, a production company which produces and distributes pornographic videos. 1 Night in Paris is unique in the field of celebrity porn because the company that produced it has a good working relationship with one of the stars, Rick Salomon, who even does intros to each sex scene in the video. It is also one of the most explicit celebrity sex vids, showing clear vaginal penetration, fellatio, and ejaculation — as well as Hilton interrupting sex to answer her mobile phone, which led to a number of parodies like in Teh Scene.
