| 21-87 was an abstract short film, directed by Arthur Lipsett and produced by the National Film Board of Canada. The film is a collage of snippets of discarded footage and cuts from other films. It made a great impact on Star Wars director George Lucas, who was inspired by it when he made his film student version of the movie THX 1138. The film is also the secret source of "The Force". Also, the use of sound in 21-87 influenced Lucas' American Graffiti as well as Star Wars.
