Plot summaryWe're back in Springwood, but this time there seems to be no sign of Krueger (Robert Englund). Alice (Lisa Wilcox) and Dan (Danny Hassel) have been dating since the events of THE DREAM MASTER and are about to graduate high school and travel Europe. The night before graduation Alice has a terrible dream. Alice is walking down the dark hallway of an old mental institution. As she walks into the next room she finds herself dressed in a nun's attire, with the name tag Amanda Krueger. Not only are the clothes startling, but she is also surrounded by 100 maniacs. There are two guards taking count of the prisoners. They get restless and leave without taking a full count. Without realizing that Alice, "Amanda", is still in there, they lock the place down for the Christmas weekend. As the maniacs converge, Alice wakes up.The next day Alice discusses the dream with Dan, stating how she "felt like she wasn't in control, for the first time". Dan's advice: "If you don't dream him up he can't hurt you". Also at graduation we meet Alice's new friends, and future victims of Freddy, Greta (Erika Anderson), a supermodel in training, Yvonne (Kelly Jo Minter), a future olympic diver, and Mark (Joe Seely), the classic comic geek who never gets the girl. Alice leaves the school and begins her walk to work. As she travels through the park she notices a small group of children, all dressed in white, jumping rope. As she gets closer she hears their chants, "One, two, Freddy's coming for you; three, four, better lock your door; five, six, grab your crucifix; seven, eight, better stay up late; nine, ten, he's back again". Alice eventually finds herself back at the mental institution, but this time she's being strolled down the hallway on a gurney. She is wearing the nun uniform again and there are doctors and nurses all around her. They wheel her into the emergency room. As she is looking around she sees herself, but when the other self looks back it isn't Alice anymore, it's the real Amanda Krueger (Beatrice Boepple). She is giving birth. When the doctors pull the baby out they try and explain that it is a creature of God, and should be loved just the same. But this Amanda knows better. She tries to explain that it is an abomination and shouldn't be let go. The baby Freddy escapes and speeds out the double doors. When Alice follows she finds that she has run back into the church where she defeated Freddy the previous time. Alice finally finds the baby Freddy, but it's too late. Freddy has returned. "It's A Boy!" he exclaims. "We beat you!" Alice screams. Freddy pops up behind her, "But I found a way back". Finally the doors to the church burst open revealing Freddy's mother. She has come to take him back where he belongs, HELL. But, she can't enter the church, and Freddy is too afraid to leave, so he backs off. But before Amanda can tell Alice how to free her Krueger seals the church door shut. When Alice opens the church doors and runs through she runs back into the diner where she works. She is awake now, and 4 hours late. She immediately phones Dan, who is at the pool party with the rest of their friends. He quickly jumps in his truck and drives to the diner. Unfortunately for Dan, he falls asleep while driving and Krueger decides he should take over so that nothing "bad" happens. Before Dan can get control of the truck it crashes, sending him flying through the window, and back to the pool party which is now deserted. He runs back outside, only to find that his keys are missing. On further investigation he finds a motorcycle with the keys still in it and decides to use that. As he makes his way to the diner, the bike begins to pick up speed at an uncontrollable level. The motorcycle itself begins to morph and change forms, revealing an impression of Krueger's face in the center console. The rest of the wires, pipes, and gears of the bike begin to force their way into Dan. As they heat up, he bursts into flames. Krueger remarks, "Hey Danny, better not dream and drive!" Just then Dan looks up, fully awake, and watches as he barrels into an on-coming truck. The collision was just outside of the diner, and Alice runs to Dan. Dan's lifeless body looks up and says "Alice, wanna make babies?" (in Freddy's voice), which causes her to faint.
