A Perfect Murder (US; Andrew Davis, 1998) is a remake of the 1954 movie Dial M for Murder
, starring Michael Douglas and Gwyneth Paltrow in which the characters of Halliday and Lesgate are combined.

A powerful husband (Douglas) learns of his pretty, young and wealthy wife's affair and he hires his wife's lover (Viggo Mortensen) to kill her in a variation on the fictional theme of the perfect murder.
