Abbott and Costello Meet the Mummy is a Universal Films release featuring the comic team with one of their famous film monsters. The film is the last pairing of the comic team and a Universal monster. Previously Abbott and Costello met Frankenstein, Dracula, the Wolfman, Dr. Jekyll, Mr Hyde, the Killer (Karloff) and the Invisible Man.

The film, released in 1955, received mixed reviews. Today, it's considered one of the better late entry "Abbott and Costello" films. Supporting actors Richard Deacon and Marie Windsor were singled out in reviews for being entertaining in the film.

Trivia

This was the last Universal "Abbott and Costello" film
In previous Universal Mummy films, the mummy was called "Kharis". In this film it is called "Klaris".
