| Abby was a 1974 movie starring William H. Marshall (best known for his work in the '70s movies Blacula, and Scream, Blacula, Scream) and directed by William Girdler. Since the plot was about a young black woman who was possessed by the devil, it was originally perceived as a generic rip-off of The Exorcist, but Abby soon became noted in its own right.
