| Abhimaan (Pride) is a 1973 Bollywood film starring Amitabh Bachchan, his real-life wife, Jaya Bachchan, and Asrani. It was directed by Hrishikesh Mukherjee. The film is perhaps best remembered now for its music, composed and arranged by the late S D Burman and sung by playback superstars Kishore Kumar, Lata Mangeshkar, and Mohammed Rafi. SynopsisAmitabh Bachchan plays Subir, a famous singer who marries a village girl named Uma (Jaya Bachchan). Uma is also a singer and her career takes off after their marriage.
