Box office and critical analysis

Gross: $10,600,000 (USA)

Though it was not received well by moviegoers it was given positive reviews and is said to be a "underrated" Scorsese film. Note: This is the start of Scorsese's now famous trademark quick cuts, edits, and extensive zooms in his movies.
