Allen R. "Al" Weiss is president of worldwide operations for Walt Disney Parks and Resorts, the division of The Walt Disney Company that operates 11 theme parks and multiple resort hotels at five sites around the world (two theme parks in California, four in Florida, two in Paris, two in Tokyo and one in Hong Kong). He still remains as interim president of the Walt Disney World Resort after being promoted on November 14, 2005 to his current role. Before his current role, Weiss served as president of the Walt Disney World Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Florida. He was named executive vice president of the Florida resort in 1994, a title that changed to president in 1996, and has overseen the opening of Disney's Animal Kingdom and the expansion of Downtown Disney.

Weiss served as the 2004-05 Chairman of the Metro-Orlando Economic Development Commission.

Weiss currently resides in Kissimmee, Florida with his wife, Doreen. His son reportedly works in the same building and on the same floor as he; his daughter is pursuing a degree in international business from Rollins College.

Weiss started his career with Walt Disney World as an 18-year-old in 1972. His first job was a "z-runner", a financial analyst who zeroed out cash registers at the end of shifts, before moving up the ranks with the Walt Disney World Company. He received a bachelor's degree from the University of Central Florida and an MBA from Rollins College. In the first 20 years that Weiss worked for the company he performed 20 different jobs, which provided him the broad base of understanding that helped him attain his current status.
