| Alive is a 2002 Japanese action/horror film and the fourth film by cult director Ryuhei Kitamura. It stars Hideo Sakaki (the "bad guy" from Versus) as the protagonist, Tenshu, with Tak Sakaguchi (the "good guy" from Versus) having a small role as Zeros, the villain, at the climax. This film did not manage to gain as wide a cult following due to the slow pace of the storyline and virtual lack of action compared to Versus; however, it has registered with die-hard Kitamura fans who have managed to overlook these minor flaws. Like Versus, this film also draws comparisons to several other movies such as Cube (film) and Aliens (1986 film).
