All Over the Guy is an American gay comedy romantic movie directed by Julie Davis in 2001.

Plot summary

The story is about two guys, Eli (Dan Bucantinsky) and Tom (Richard Ruccolo
). These two men are thrown together by their best friends, Jackie (Sasha Alexander
) and Brett (Adam Goldberg
), who think they would be a perfect match. They're both looking for 'The One', but don't recognize it when they find it. After several dates, they find that they are two persons with completely different personalities: Eli is grown up in a family where his parents are over-expressive, over-analytical and idealize love, while Tom's parents are alcoholics who seldom express even their slightest feelings. And they both think that they are not suitable for each other even though it's quite obvious to everyone else what is in their heart and their feelings towards each other. They do everything trying not to fall for each other. But later, when their best friends, Jackie and Brett, are getting married, they begin to rethink their relationship. Overcoming their fears, they ultimately realize both of them are attracted to each other even though there are some difficulties. They figure out that they have to overcome their families' dysfunction and compromise with each other. The movie ends with these four friends dancing together, and Eli and Tom find a lot of things in common.
