A Call To Arms (1999) was the fourth feature-length film set in the Babylon 5 universe. It was written by J. Michael Straczynski, directed by Mike Vejar, and originally aired January 3, 1999.

Plot synopsis

The year is 2267. It is discovered that the Drakh, the former servants of the Shadows, still possess an old Shadow Planet Killer and plan to use it against Earth. With the help of a technomage named Galen and Dureena Nafeel, a survivor of another world destroyed by the Drakh, John Sheridan sets out on the brand-new Interstellar Alliance ship Excalibur to try and prevent the destruction of Earth. In the end the Planet Killer is successfully destroyed, but the Drakh ships unleash a deadly plague into Earth's atmosphere that threatens to end all life by 2272.

Other information

A Call to Arms was intended to set up the situation for the spin-off TV series Crusade.
