Balzac and the Little Chinese Seamstress (Mandarin title: Xiao Cai Feng; French title: Balzac et la Petite Tailleuse Chinoise) is a Chinese/French film that was released in 2002. The film was featured at the Cannes Film Festival in 2002, and also at the first annual Traverse City Film Festival in 2005.

Directed by Dai Sijie, based on his novel of the same name, the film stars Xun Zhou, Kun Chen, Ye Liu, Suang Bao Wang, and Xiong Xiaoi. It takes place in China during the Cultural Revolution, and depicts how the lives of two teenagers from bourgeoisie backgrounds are changed living under the rule of Chairman Mao.

The two teenagers Luo (Kun Chen) and Ma (Ye Liu) are sent to a re-education camp in a rural village where they meet the little chinese seamstress (Zhou Xun). They discover a collection of classical western literature translated into chinese, which transforms the village.
