Between Two Worlds (original title Der Mude Tod) is a 1921 German movie and a 1944 movie. The 1944 version featured a remarkable cast including John Garfield, Paul Henreid, Sydney Greenstreet and Eleanor Parker.

Plot summary

A group of people in London are waiting to board a ship to the USA. Just as they are about to board, they are killed by an aerial bomb. They wake up on the ship, not realizing what has happened or where the ship may be bound. It has a suspenseful "Twilight Zone"-style plot.

The movie has been shown in restored condition on Turner Classic Movies as late as 2004.

Other uses

The title is also taken by the second of the Lanny Budd novels of Upton Sinclair published in 1941.
