| 'Boomerang!' is a 1947 film based on a true story about the early career of Attorney General Homer Cummings. The film was directed by Elia Kazan and based on a story (written by Fulton Oursler) in Reader's Digest. The film has scenes shot in Stamford, Connecticut. The semidocumentary also contains voice-overs by Reed Hadley. A minister is shot dead on a Connecticut public street at night. After weeks of public pressure to capture the killer, a man (Kennedy) is eventually arrested and finally falsely accused for murdering him. The District Attorney instead of prosecuting him, defends him and eventually proves his innocence. Cast
