Brett Ratner (born March 28, 1969) is a Cuban-American Jewish film director and music-video director. He was born in Miami Beach, Florida and graduated from New York University Film School. Previously considered to direct X-Men
and Superman Returns
which were later directed by Bryan Singer, who handed directing duties off to Ratner for X-Men 3.
