Bug is a 2006 film
, a psychological thriller directed by William Friedkin and written by Tracy Letts.

The film is based on Letts' play about modern paranoia in the wake of the Gulf War, and contains elements of black comedy, romance, and horror. Most of the action takes place in a seedy Oklahoma motel room, where Gulf War veteran Peter (Michael Shannon) and a lonely divorcee (Ashley Judd
) hole up together and fall in love while contending with an apparent infestation of microscopic bugs. Other characters include her violent abusive ex-con ex-husband Jerry, played by Harry Connick Jr.; her lesbian friend and co-worker, played by Lynn Collins; and Peter's doctor, played by Brian F. O'Byrne. The story addresses issues of domestic violence, conspiracy theories and schizophrenia.

Bug is the first film produced by the Louisiana Institute of Film Technology (LIFT).
