Movies - Bully For Bugs

Bully for Bugs is a Warner Brothers Looney Tunes
theatrical cartoon short released in 1953. It was directed by Chuck Jones and written by Michael Maltese.

In the cartoon, Bugs Bunny gets lost tunneling his way to the Coachella Valley (having missed, of course, that "left hand turn at Albuquerque"), finding himself in the middle of a bullfighting arena. As Bugs attempts to figure out where he is, Toro the bull (which has chased the terrified bullfighter out of the arena) rams him out of the stadium, prompting Bugs to utter his famous declaration, "Of course you realize this means war!" as he streaks across the sky. Over the remainder of this short, Bugs and Toro duel until an elaborate booby trap lets Bugs win.

Trivia

Chuck Jones said that he made this cartoon after producer Eddie Selzer told him that bullfights were not funny.
