Cartoon pornography is a variation of pornography, showing fictional cartoon or comics characters instead of real-life humans.

As with real-life pornography, by far the most, almost all, cartoon pornography depicts females. Males are usually shown having sexual intercourse with females, although male-only cartoon pornography also exists. Most of the pornography is heterosexual, but both male and female homosexual cartoon pornography exists.

Styles of cartoon pornography

Because of the greater freedom given to the artists, cartoon pornography allows greater diversity than real-life pornography.

Some artists use parodies of pre-existing cartoon or comics characters, drawing for example Walt Disney's famous princesses, Marge or Lisa Simpson, or Misty from Pokémon naked or half-naked. Others use characters entirely of their own. Artists who draw pre-existing characters do not generally have any special notability among the cartoon pornography community, in contrast, some of the artists who draw their own characters, such as Alazar, Bill Ward, Ralph Bakshi, Kevin J. Taylor, or John Willie, have gained a cult fan base.

The artistic style of cartoon pornography can vary wildly, as it can in mainstream cartoons. Artists who parody pre-existing characters usually mimic the style of the characters' creators, although some draw in different styles. Realistic drawings are very common, as they stimulate many viewers, though the style may vary from highly realistic to extremely simple.

Because cartoon pornography does not have to use real-life humans as models, the characters depicted do not have to represent normal adult women or men either. Furry characters, especially females, are very common, because of the large fanbase of furry enthusiasts. Perhaps most importantly, unlike the real type, cartoon child pornography is legal, so long as no real children have been used as models. Drawings of naked or mostly naked underage girls and boys are common, mainly as parodies of pre-existing characters.
