| Charlie Wilson's War is a forthcoming drama film about Texas Congressman Charlie Wilson, who conspired with a rogue CIA operative to launch an operation to help Afghans in their fight against Soviet invaders. Tagline: "A Texas congressman's wild ways jeopardize everything he's worked for." The film is based on the book of the same title by George Crile. Sam Mendes is in negotiations to direct. Aaron Sorkin is writing the screenplay. Charles Wilson will be played by Tom Hanks. Julia Roberts is in negociations to also appear on the film.
