Charlotte Gray is a 1999 book by Sebastian Faulks. It is set in Vichy France during the World War II. A film featuring Cate Blanchett, Billy Crudup, Michael Gambon, Rupert Penry-Jones and Matthew Plato was produced in 2001. The film is thought to be based on the exploits of Nancy Wake, codenamed the white mouse, a member of the resistance in war time France.Reference
