Chikyū Sentai Faibuman (地球戦隊ファイブマン literaly translated as, Earth Squadron Fiveman) was the TOEI Company production and the 14th entry of Sentai series. It aired on TV Asahi from March 2, 1990 to February 8, 1991, with a total of 48 episodes.

Plot

Dr. Hoshikawa was researching how to transform the planet Sedon into a green, lush world. But during a Zone empire assault on the planet, he and his wife were separated from their five children. Arthur G6 took the five children to Earth and raised them. The children become Fivemen, who returned to Earth to save it from the Zone empire. After defeating the Zone empire, the Fivemen departed Earth in search of their parents.

Characters

Hoshikawa Family

Five siblings (three brothers and two sisters), Trying to find their parents during a Zone attack when they left where they were children and raised by a robot named Arthur G6.

Gaku Hoshikawa (星川学 Hoshikawa Gaku) / Five Red (ファイブレッド) : The eldest and leader of the team. Science teacher skilled in kendo.

Ken Hoshikawa (星川健 Hoshikawa Ken) / Five Blue (ファイブブルー): The third born. Physical education teacher skilled in judo.
*Attacks/Weapon: Twin Arrays, Twin Yo-Yo's, Twin Frisbees, Rolling Arrays
Fumiya Hoshikawa (星川文矢 Hoshikawa Fumiya) / Five Black (ファイブブラック) : The fourth born and twin brother of Remi. Japanese teacher skilled in karate.
*Attacks/Weapon: Power Cutter, Black Jaws, Cutter Disks, Screw Cutter
Kazumi Hoshikawa (星川数美 Hoshikawa Kazumi) / Five Pink (ファイブピンク) : The second born. Math teacher skilled in fencing.
*Attacks/Weapon: Cutie Circle, Circle 'Puter, Circle Finish
Remi Hoshikawa (星川レミ Hoshikawa Remi) / Five Yellow (ファイブイエロー) : The youngest. Music teacher skilled in kung fu, In an infamous episode she got drunk when water was turned into alcohol.

Allies

Arthur G6 (アーサージーシックス Aasaa Jii Shikkusu) : Support robot created by Dr. Hoshikawa, raised orphans into warriors on Earth. can fly out from base and transform into Earth Cannon, which fires a 100,000-degree super fire beam when held by Fivemen.

Silver Imperial Army Zone

Alien army plotting to rule the entire Milky Way, it flies across universe attacking worlds with its Galactic Warriors. Earth will be its 1,000th destroyed planet, at which point Medor will gain eternal life.

Baztler Soldiers: Black-skinned grunts with red heads, armed with crab claws.
Galactic Warriors: Alien monsters named after Earth animals.
Combined Galactic Warriors: Later hybrid monsters, have attributes of two species.
Vulgyre: Zone's galactic battleship. Actually a gigantic evil monster which emerged in the finale. Ultimately destroyed by the Fivemen.
Milky Way Empress Medor: White-skinned, silver-maned, purple-lipped, golden-eyed mystery (and somehwat supernatural being) ruler of the Zone Empire. She later appeared in red format in the finale and was inevitably destroyed.
Garoa: Captain of Vulgyre in black and gray armor over red clothes, armed with a sword. Got Scarred by Five Red as an Child. Has the kind of temper similar to Doctorman in Chodenshi Bioman.
Doldora: Scientist of Vulgyre in gold scorpion-like head, armed with a rod. Later fused with Zaza by Vulgyre to become Doldoroza. She is less violent but no less evil. She prefers to let Zaza her underling do most of her battles and uses subtle tactics like Farrah in Bioman (ex. disguised herself as some nice girl to fool Five Black).
Zaza: Doldora's underling in black tights with purple armor. She is much like Farrah Cat in Bioman who protects Doldora and does most of the dirty work.
Billion: best swordsman in the galaxy white-maned in white armor over blue tights. He is the most sadistic field commander similar to Mason in Bioman. He is also the one responsible for several incidents where he would nearly put an end to the Fivemen.
Dongoros: Grotesque, short, fat space merchant who enjoys making money (Dolyen bills), carries an abacus. He prefers to use brute force to finish the job like Monster in Bioman. This can be seen in most of the monsters he's used in most episodes.
Gorlin: Giant white-skinned cyborg alien absorbs and mimics human-sized monsters.
Shubalie: Vulgyre's second captain after Garoa for a short time. armed with Barok Stick, Barok Fencer, Barok Shoot and Barok Byoot controls a black Gorlin. He is scheming, sadistic and cool like the Black Prince of Bioman.
Gingaman: Comedic five monster team. Suspiciously resembles the Beastnoids of Bioman but play small parts.
Battlers: Crab-clawed, black-skinned soldiers of Zone. They are also capable of disguises.
