Colonial One is a civilian starship in the reimagined Battlestar Galactica
series, which serves as the headquarters for President of the Twelve Colonies, Laura Roslin.

Colonial One is a small, FTL capable ship that is dwarfed by the Battlestar Galactica. The ship in fact, can land inside Galactica's hanger bay pods. Likewise, Colonial One can land on and take off from a planetary surface.

Prior the Cylon attack, Colonial One was a Caprican civilian starliner known as Colonial Heavy 798. The ship had been chartered by the Colonial government to transport then-Secretary of Education Roslin and her staff to Battlestar Galactica's
decommissioning ceremony.

Following the Cylon attack, along with the elimination of most of the government, Laura Roslin became President of the Twelve Colonies. The ship took on the call sign Colonial One, and was used to co-ordinate the collection and organisation of the civillian refugee fleet. After leading the 50,000 survivors to rendezvous with Galactica, which had also survived the attack, Colonial One became the residence and de facto capital of the Fleet government.
