This article deals with the Cylon ship from the Sci-Fi Channel television series Battlestar Galactica (2004 television series)
. The first Heavy Raider ever encountered crash landed into Galactica's non-operation starboard hangar bay, and a boarding party of Cylon Centurions exited the wreck to begin their assault.

Little is know about this type of space vessel. It is primarily used for transporting troops, boarding enemy ships and assaulting planetary surfaces. It is capable of FTL jumps and may have a capacity for ten or more Cylons.

After rescuing Starbuck from a Cylon "hybrid farm", Boomer managed to take over a Heavy Raider in order to evacuate a resistance movement.
