Cyrano de Bergerac is a 1990 film based on the 1897 play of the same name by Edmond Rostand. It was directed by Jean-Paul Rappeneau and written by Jean-Claude Carrière and Jean-Paul Rappeneau. This version was produced in France in the French language.

Story

Cyrano de Bergerac is a dashing, witty man with a big nose, which embarrasses him. He falls in love with the beautiful Roxane but believes she will reject him because of his nose. He ends up writing love letters on the behalf of another, stupid but handsome man who is also in love with her. She falls in love with the author not realizing who is truly writing.
