David Tattersall is a famous British cinematographer and director of photography, the art of selecting the right light and camera when shooting a movie. He has worked on many big-budget Hollywood films and has won an Emmy Award for his cinematography work on Young Indiana Jones.

In London, he studied at Goldsmith's College and got a first class BA Fine Arts Degree. He went on to study at Britain's National Film and Television School. The first film he worked on was Salette in 1986.
