Dengeki Sentai Chenjiman (電撃戦隊チェンジマン, Lightning Fleet Change Man) is a Japanese TV series, being the 9th Show in the Super Sentai franchise. It was originally aired between 1985 and 1986 and it shown over 55 episodes. This is the first sentai based of mythological animals.

Plot

When Earth is invaded by Gozma, the planet reacts by showering five officers of the Earth Defense Squad with the mysterious power of the Earthforce, giving them the abilities of mythological beasts as the Changemen. Their transformation call say, "Let's Change!!!"

Hiryuu Tsurugi / Change Dragon: He is originally an EDS air force officer and he is also good at baseball.

Shou Hayate / Change Griffin: He is originally an EDS ranger and he has a weakness of women.
* Attacks/Weapons: Griffin Attack, Griffin Magma Galaxy
**Note: While most sites translate this character's name as Gryphon, the kana is read as "Gu-ri-fu-o-n" (griffin).

Yuuma Oozura / Change Pegasus: He is originally an EDS army officer and he's a comedic lover who wants to open his own tonkatsu restaurant.

Sayaka Nagisa / Change Mermaid: She is originally an EDS strategic corps officer and inventor.

Mai Tsubasa / Change Phoenix: She is originally an EDS reconnaisance officer and she is a motorcyclist and tomboy.

Great Star League Gozma

An empire that devastates planets and uses the survivors as warriors trying to invade their planets.

Commander Giluke: He is in charge of the invasion of Earth from Girath. Once plotted against Bazoo. Dies and returns as Ghost Giluke (later Super Giluke and the Space Beast Warrior Giluke).

Vice-Commander Booba: Former space pirate armed with the Buldobas sickle.

Vice-Commander Seema: Princess of Amanga with a man's voice until she defects to the Changemen.

Star King Bazoo: Actually a projection of the living planet Gozmastar.

Queen Ahameth: She is from Amazo and has a three-headed pet dragon.

Hidrer Soliders Grunts: Foot soldiers ugly like blue creatures with bellies and blonde hair born from eggs.

Navigator Gator:He is From Nabi Have Wife and Child!

Gyodai: One-eyed monster enlarging creature from Gyodai.

Dai Seidan GOZMA MECHANICS: They are Gozmard, Gozma Pod and Gozma Sentuki. Each creatures have either captured beasts from conquered alien worlds or aliens mutated into monsters.
