Dhoom 2 is a forthcoming Hindi film, to be directed by Sanjay Gadhvi starring Hrithik Roshan, Aishwarya Rai, Abhishek Bachchan, Uday Chopra, Bipasha Basu and Rimi Sen. The movie is the sequel to the Bollywood blockbuster, Dhoom. The film will be Sanjay Gadhvi's fourth directorial venture after Tere Liye (2000), Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai (2002), and Dhoom (2004), and his third with Yashraj Films.

Nothing about the story has been officialy revealed by the producers thus far. The movie is slated for an October 2006 release.

Rumoured Plot

Hrithik Roshan
is an evil multi-millionaire who is aided in his business by Aishwarya Rai
, who plays his mistress. Apparently his money comes from drugs, so Abhishek Bachchan
decides to team up with Uday Chopra
and Bipasha Basu
to track down this drug lord.

After John's character falls off the cliff at the end of Dhoom, his face and torso are completely ruined and he has to get plastic surgery and an upper body reconstruction. He is carefully reconstructed and mastered into Hrithik Roshan with a robotic torso.

This is the first time Hrithik Roshan

will work together, after many unsuccesful attempts. Aishwarya Rai
was supposed to act in the sequel to Koi... Mil Gaya
, Krrish
opposite Hrithik Roshan but couldn't commit due to date problems. They were also supposed to be in a movie directed by Tanuja Chandra but that did not work out either.
Shooting was disrupted when the studio the Yash Raj staff erected was destroyed in the floods that hit Mumbai recently. Shooting is currently taking place at Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
There has been much speculation in the media that both the lead actresses have been convinced to wear bikinis in the movie.
