Disney Pin Trading is the buying and trading of collectible pins and related paraphernalia featuring Disney characters and elements. Pins are available for a limited time; the base price for a pin is US$8.50, but after being "retired", some can fetch up to and over US$500 in venues such as eBay. Limited editions may start at higher prices.

Pin trading has always been present at Disney parks but it wasn't until 1998 that Paul Pressler introduced Disney Pin Trading at the Disneyland Resort as a marketing strategy that the craze kicked off. The next year saw it spread to Walt Disney World Resort where it really got into its stride, and where it is still most popular today. Since then it has been added to Disneyland Resort Paris and the Hong Kong Disneyland Resort. A large variety of pins are available for purchase and trade. Disney cast members wear their given pins around their neck at all times. A cast member is required to trade any pin he/she wears to a person wishing to trade with them.

After a marketing blitz in the early 2000s, pin trading is slowly losing popularity, especially at the Disneyland Resort, where the focus has been dramatically refocused to maintenance and attractions.
