| Doc Savage: The Man of Bronze is a camp movie made in 1975, starring Ron Ely as pulp hero Doc Savage who confronts smuggler Captain Seas. It was the last film produced by George Pal. It was remarkably faithful to the novels and characters to the point that a newcomer would not understand why there was a hairy man with a pig involved. It is chiefly remembered for its theme song arranged around Sousa's The Thunderer. A sequel, Doc Savage: The Arch-Nemesis of Evil, was announced but was never filmed. It was scripted by Philip José Farmer.
