Erik the Viking (1989) is a film directed by Terry Jones about a viking called Erik (Tim Robbins), a tale of magic, heroism and destiny in a kind of Monty Python style. The plot follows the main character, Erik, in his quest to ask the Norse Gods to end Ragnarok, the end of the world. Along the way, they visit mythical places like the island of Hy-Brazil and meet many strange people.

Sceneries were designed by Tolkien artist Alan Lee. The story was also used for the computer game Erik the Viking. It was published for the Amstrad CPC, Commodore 64 and ZX Spectrum in 1984 by the company Level 9.
