Eureka is a Japanese film directed by Shinji Aoyama and distributed by The Shooting Gallery. It was released on May 4 2001 and has a total length of 3 hours 37 minutes. It features Koji Yakusho, Aoi Miyazaki, and Masaru Miyazaki.

Eureka is a drama, set mainly in rural Japan, and is mostly shot in black and white. It tells the story of a young boy and girl (Miyazaki and Miyazaki, who are real-life siblings) who are on a schoolbus when it is hijacked by a crazy killer. They, along with the bus driver, Makoto (Yakusho), are the only survivors and flee together. But upon their attempted return to their normal lives, Makoto becomes a suspect in a series of murders and the children's are orphaned. These numerous unfortunate events bring the three, along with the orphans' cousin, back together, forming a family and working toward reconcilation from the shared hijacking experience.

Eureka won the FIPRESCI Prize and Prize of the Ecumenical Jury at the 2000 Cannes Film Festival, and won the Singapore International Film Festival's Silver Screen Award in 2001.
