| Faraway, So Close! is the English title of In weiter Ferne, so nah!, a 1993 film by German director Wim Wenders, written by him, Richard Reitinger and Ulrich Zieger. It is a sequel to Der Himmel über Berlin with which it shared lead actors Otto Sander and Bruno Ganz. The film won the Grand Prix du Jury and was nominated for the Palme d'or at the 1993 Cannes Film Festival. Former Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev appears as himself in the film.
