Movies - Five-Point Palm Exploding Heart Technique

The Five-Point Palm Exploding Heart Technique is a fictional martial arts technique from Quentin Tarantino's Kill Bill
. It is introduced in Chapter 8 of the film, in a sequence where Bill
and tells Beatrix Kiddo of the legendary kung-fu master Pai Mei
, and his proficiency in the skill. Although Bill says that Pai Mei never taught him the technique, it is revealed at the end of the story that he did, in fact, teach it to Beatrix, since she uses it to 'kill Bill' in the end.

The attacker hits his victim in five distinct pressure points on his chest, causing a fatal injury to the heart. The victim is then allowed to walk away, seemingly unscathed—but after taking five steps, his heart explodes and he falls down dead. The technique is similar to a finishing move in video games and other fantasy-violence settings.
