Movies - Food Rocks

Food Rocks is a former attraction at Epcot's The Land pavilion presented by Nestlé in the Walt Disney World Resort. It was a musical stage show, with audio-animatronic figures.

It replaced the older Kitchen Kabaret presented by Kraft when Nestle took over sponsorship in 1994 and was replaced by Soarin', an Epcot version of the Disney's California Adventure Park attraction in 2005 with almost all of the animatronics appearing on eBay recently.

Synopsis

The show was a parody of a rock concert. The audio-animatronic characters were shaped like food items, with human features. The music was based on popular songs by well-known bands. The lyrics were modified from their original form in order to deal with the topic of nutrition. (For example, "The Peach Boys, singing "Good Nutrition", was based on The Beach Boys, singing "Good Vibrations").

Attraction facts

  • Show length: 12:39 minutes
