For Scent-imental Reasons is a 1949 Warner Bros. Looney Tunes
short, directed by Chuck Jones, written by Michael Maltese, and starring Pepe LePew. It won the 1949 Academy Award for Best Short Subject (Cartoons).

Synopsis

When a black cat accidentally gets a white stripe down her back, everyone assumes she is a skunk, including Pepe Le Pew. The love-stricken Pepe then tries to woo her, whereas she tries to avoid his smell.

Trivia

Although this is not Pepe's first cartoon, this is the first where a cat accidentally gets a white stripe down her back, a formula which was then used in all of Pepe's cartoons from this point on.
