Franklin and Granny's Secret is a new movie premiering in 2006, based on the television show Franklin.

The events of this movie focus around Franklin's Granny falling ill during a visit from Franklin's Aunt Lucy, who is an archaeologist. Aunt Lucy knows of a special talisman that may cure the illness, so she joins Franklin on a quest to find it, along with his friends Bear and Beaver. But they are also accompanied by Aunt Lucy's little goddaughter, Samantha, and her personality clashes with Franklin.

This is the first ever Franklin movie planned for release to the big screen. It is slated to premiere in theaters in Canada and France, although whether it will be seen in theaters in the U.S. has not been confirmed. Writer John van Bruggen states that this movie will take Franklin on a much grander adventure than any of the past Franklin movies, including Franklin and the Green Knight

Written by John van Bruggen and directed by Dominique Monféry. Production companies include Alphanim, Nelvana, StudioCanal and Europool. Distributed by Mars Distribution, StudioCanal controls all rights worldwide. Preproduction is being handled by a team of former Disney animators. This movie has also been listed under the working titles "Franklin and the Turtle Lake Treasure" and "Franklin and the Secret Talisman." "Franklin and Granny's Secret" may also be a working title. The French title is currently "Franklin et la Secret Talisman."
