| Freddy Monnickendam was executive producer of The Smurfs (1981) and The Snorks (1984). He also was the writer of Foofur (1987). Freddy Monnickendam and Peyo were professional colleagues and both worked extensively on the Smurfs project. Monnickendam worked on the not-so-popular Snork project for about a year (1984) at the request of the same producers.
