Movies - Goal!

Goal! The Dream Begins is a 2005
film directed by Danny Cannon. It is rated PG for language, sexual situations, and some thematic situations including partying.

This is the first installment of a trilogy in which a young Mexican man named Santiago Munez dreams of making it big in the world of football. However, living in the Barrios section of Los Angeles, he thinks it is only that--a dream. Until, one day an extraordinary turn of events has him trying out for Premiership club Newcastle United.

This film was made with full cooperation from FIFA, which is one of the reasons actual teams are used throughout the movie. The second installment is currently being filmed and follows Santiago as he is transferred to powerhouse Real Madrid.
