| Gorosaurus (ゴロザウルス - Gorozaurusu) is a fictional allosaurus-like dinosaur kaiju who debuted in the film King Kong Escapes, and later appeared in Destroy All Monsters. In King Kong Escapes, he attempted to eat Susan Watson, who had gained the affection of King Kong. When Kong heard Susan's screams, he came to her rescue and battled Gorosaurus. At first Gorosaurus gave Kong some difficulty thanks to his kangaroo kick. Kong eventually defeated Gorosaurus, breaking the dinosaur's jaws. Gorosaurus appeared later as a resident of Monsterland, along with Godzilla, Rodan, Anguirus, Mothra, and a host of other daikaiju. When the Kilaaks attacked and assumed control of the kaiju, they had Gorosaurus attack Paris, France, where he levelled the Arc de Triomphe (although, for some reason, Baragon was blamed for the attack). When the monsters later fought back against the Kilaaks, Gorosaurus had arguably the most important role in defeating King Ghidorah, attacking Ghidorah alongside Godzilla and flooring the space dragon with his kangaroo kick, allowing himself, Godzilla, and Anguirus to then attack the helpless monster at will. Gorosaurus later returned to Monsterland with the other kaiju, and would be seen on Monster Island in later films. As an interesting sidenote, the reason the attack on Paris is blamed on Baragon, is because that scene was originally intended for him. However, Baragon's suit had been hacked up to create several of the monsters on Ultraman, and it wasn't repaired in time for filming. Thus, Gorosaurus was used for the scene. Why the line was unchanged is unknown. Filmography
