Harley leaves the motel on his motorcycle, rides across two states and arrives in Los Angeles. When there, he pulls into a gas station as it's being robbed by two holdup men. The robber with the gun tells him to hit the floor, but Harley outwits the gunman and the other robber with the knife and takes the gun. The lady clerk, Suzie, (played by Kelly Hu

Marlboro uses a pool stick to hit him, the Indian cuts him on the stomach, but the Marlboro Man hits him with a cue ball and hits him hard. Marlboro and Harley leave the bar they are revealed to be friends. Marlboro asks where Harley has been the past two years, he says he was in Dallas, Texas fixing bikes and thinking, Marlboro tells him he thinks too much.

Later, the two friends are sitting at a billboard by the highway, Harley asks Marlboro about God. Marlboro says he would like to meet him, but not just yet. Marlboro tapes up an old pair of boots he is wearing because they are tearing up.

They go to a phone and dial a number, it is a secret door, their other friend Jose (played by Eloy Casados), who is a deaf-mute. Jose is glad to see them as well, but he tells Harley that Jack is here and should not go in, but Harley does. Their other friend Jimmy Jiles (played by Giancarlo Esposito), the Old Man's son is in the room, Jack is arm wrestling a man, he sees Harley and becomes fueled by anger to win the match.
